I'm trying to put text into a Movable Type blog document and when I insert the html code, it throws in a bunch of rogue characters (into the code). Any tips on how I can do this? Perhaps insert code before I past into Movable Type??? I'm a real novice at html--just trying to follow instructions I've been given to get a document onto a blog.

It is not clear what you are doing. "a bunch of roque characters" means nothing and does not help us help you.
Is this the product you are using? http://www.movabletype.org/documentation/ If so are you following the instructions?

I resorted to simply sending the text for the blog to my husband's pc where I can enter it without any problem. The company I work for is going to quit using MT soon, so perhaps whatever they adopt will work with my Mac.
The company I work for is using a Beta version of MT and I don't have any documentation. They sent me instructions and I tried following them. Soon we'll be migrating to a new system, so until then I'm sending the text to my husband's pc and entering it from there.
