Question: An administrator must request identities before they can be downloade

-I'm in the Organizer within Xcode trying to get through the Validation process.

-I have a developer provision file.

-I'm getting this screen related to identities. I don't know what identities they are referring to. The screen reads:

Connect to iOs Dev Center:

Xcode can obtain identities from the iOs Dev Center

Button: download identities

The error I get after pressing the button

An administrator must request identities before they can be downloaded

-I'm the administrator on the account. I can successfully connect within XCode to iTunes Connect and Apple Developer.

-I've successfully ran the app through an AdHoc deployment.

So, needless to say I can't publish to Apple and am stuck. Any help would be appreciated.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1

Go to "iOS Provisioning Portal" -> "Certificates" (Left sidebar) -> "Distribution" tab
Check field "Provisioning Profiles". If empty, next (3)
Go to "Provisioning" (Left sidebar) -> "Distribution" tab. Press "New Profile" and complete it. Go back to (2) check the field again.
Back to XCode Organizer - Devices. Click TEAM (Left sidebar) and click "Refresh" (right-bottom). You will find XCode fetch the new profile.
Then validate or distribute you app again. It should work that I solve the same problem just minutes ago.

I have exactly the same problem, but unfortunately, this does not solve the problem. It still gives the same error message.

Hi. In all honesty. I never figured this out. I created a brand-new project and then everything magically worked!!

The Bundle identifier in your Xcode project doesn't match the Bundle ID you registered online

Thanks, got there with the help of this recipe, and after downloading the new Xcode 5.01 seed so that it didn't keep crashing

The way i ended up solving this is by downloading the provisioning profile from my ios devlopement site. Then i double clicked the the download and it set up everything for me. GL
