Creating a network interface for Twitter Stream

Hi there,

I want to develop my own twitter app for Mountain Lion. I want to make this app the best app ever for everyone who use Twitter all the time, but first of all i need to know something.
Some people says me that it's better to not use NSURL, NSHttp etc etc and it's better to use AFNetwork ( https://github.com/kevinvavelin/AFNetworking).
I want to have a stream Timeline who will be refreshed all the time for getting a realtime Timeline.

I see we have CFNetwork too so i don't know what is the best method to use for my app. Can you help me ?
