I have ipad2 and am trying to connect it to the apple tv .... I clicked on the AirPlay icon ... I can only hear the sound from the tv but cannot see or mirror my iPad to the tv.

Note plz that when I click on the AirPlay icon, I don't see the "mirror" icon to enable.

Kindly advice

    Just now I could see the photos that I have on my iPad on tv but still cannot see the rest of the apps on tv...

    Welcome to the Apple community.

     

    Are you certain that you are mirroring and not simply using basic airplay.

     

    When displaying the content you wish to mirror on the iPad 2, double tap the home button (quickly) and swipe the bottom row of apps to the right to reveal the playback controls, tap the AirPlay icon and select your Apple TV from the list of available devices.

    Thank you for your prompt reply.

     

    I just tried using an app, which is a game, I double clicked on the home screen button and swiped the bottom row of apps to the right to reveal the playback controls, I tapped on AirPlay icon and still could not see the "mirror" icon to enable it and yet I can only hear the music of the game from the tv but cannot see / watch the game on tv.

     

    What to do? Plz advice

    Then you may have an issue with your network. Mirroring requires real-time playback and doesn't buffer any content, this requires a fairly good network if it is to work.

    I'm using a home wifi... The weird thing is that when I connect the Apple tv to the wifi, it says that it's connected to the wifi device "netgear" but not to the Internet!!!

    I'll check with my technician tomorrow. Thank you very much. Appreciated.

     

     

    Another thing, in pokerist app, I did a mistake by giving over 5 million chips to a friend and since then I cannot buy chips, every time I try purchasing chips it sends a message saying, contact itune support.

    What to do?

    I'm afraid I don't know anything about your game or the chips that you mention. However as far as your network issues go, you might wish to restart your router, if it states you are not connected to the Internet, there is definitely a problem somewhere.

    Well honestly I just restarted my router and again the same message... Not connected to the internet.

     

    I'll contact my technician tomorrow and will see what will happen.
