Select to sync them on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings. Once synced, they will appear in a playlist call Voice Memos on the left sidebar. Alternatively you can email them by tapping on the voice memo, then tap Share at the bottom.

Oddly, Until Firday my voice memos snched without a problem Now no petunias. I've checked all settings I can think of on phone and in iTunes. Still nothing works. This is not good. Also. My Voice Memo app shows in itunes under the wndow in APPS that looks like the iphone screens but not in the list to the left where you can select it. What's that about?

I haven't had any voice memos synced since last year. I'd really like to ensure that they are saved on my computer.

How can I do that in iTunes if it's not working? I already tried syncing my memos. I unchecked the box under music/voice memos, then rechecked it to get it to work, but it only grabbed all the memos from last year and earlier.

Please advise.

There's an APP called Audio Memos that works well. One thing I think is the problem with my Voice Memos was the length. A short one synched, finally.

Audio Memos works well but you have to go to the APPs section of iPhones iTunes interface and select and save the recordings. The advantage of AudioMemos is that it has a better interface on iTunes with far more options than voice memo does. Size seems not to matter.

This didn't work for me. I did what you said, and it only synched the most recent voice memos. I wonder what I did wrong? At least I know that some of my voice memos will sync now, but I am sad that I can't get the ones I recorded yesterday (all less than 4 minutes) to move over. Thanks for the tip, and if you have another about why it might not work, please let me know.

I too am having trouble. None of the suggestions are working. I have Lion OS and the latest iTunes, and a iPhone 4. Any suggestions anyone? I am trying to save not only my voice files, which seem to be okay for the ones I create, though cumbersome (send them to myself, save them, import them, etc.), but the voice messages my family send to me.

Has anyone figured that out? I email them to myself and they go into some unknown land-the emails never arrive (when others do).

Help, please.

I have since noticed that my voice mail messages are now appearing in my "Recently Added" playlist. While I'm glad they are showing up (again?), I'm dismayed there was no easy answer offered. There is no instruction telling us that voice memos will appear there. Also, I'm unable to delete the memo. It seems that any item, big or small, mistake or intentional appears in the "recently added" playlist without option to delete.
