have ordered photo book but recieved no detail as regards delivery
the book was ordered through aperture

Log into your account at the online Apple store using the same Apple ID and Password you used to place your initial order.

Having similar problems. Tried buying same book 3 times over the past 6 months. No email, no confirmation. If I look at the Activity window, it stays stuck at 'Order Book'/Uploading files to the server.
Any ideas?
Boot into Safe Mode and preview the book as described in this Apple webpage:iPhoto '11: Preview a book, card, or calendar before you order or print it. Once you've assured that there are no errors in the book order again while still booted into the Safe Mode.
See if that will jump start your ordering process.
