How do I change language from German to English in my pre load iTunes app on my iPad 3

SETTINGS > GENERAL > INTERNATIONAL > LANGUAGE > select ENGLISH

There doesn't seem to be any way to solve this problem. There are a lot of comments around the web about it. Once you are identified with buying from a country's iTunes or App Store you are stuck with parts of the interface in that local language. Really frustrating.

Try to create a new account or user ID (you can do so by trying to install a free app on your ipad). A pop up screen will appear on your ipad requesting for you to select a country against the word "Store". Choose US or UK and press the only button below which means "Next". You will notice that itunes on your ipad shows the English language. This worked for me.

I just changed it right on my husband's brand new iPad 3rd generation. Go to Settings>General>International>Region Format and seleck UK or US or (New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Ireland...)

Here is what I have done to solve the problem. i went to settings > itunes & app stores, I signed out. I went back to app stores and chose a free app to install (in German). i was asked to sign in, which I did. As predicted, I was told that I am not registered to German app store and everything changed back to English.

I even suspect that if I tried to install an app in German, I wouldl have redirected me to the English version. The trick by LaraMR didn't work for me as everything was already set to UK.
