Can a table span multiple columns in Pages

In Word I can create a document with two columns (I am referring to the columns in text portion of the document not columns in a table), then place a table in it and the table will automatically distribute itself between the two columns. For instance if there are 5 rows of data plus a header row the table on the left column will contain the header row and the first three rows of data. The right column will contain a table with the header row plus the last two rows of data. Is this possible in Pages?

The only way I can make it automatically start the table in the second column is if the table runs over from the bottom of the page in the first column to the top of the next column. That is not what I want to do. I want both pieces of the table to be next to each other. I think there may be a way to do it with section breaks (that's how you do it in Word) but I haven't figured it out yet.
