No. There is no other solution. Again, ONLY the carrier can unlock it, and Sprint does not unlock.

Sprint will unlock the iPhone as long you are in good standing with them. You have to have a account with them and own your phone for at least 90 days and fulfilling all other requirements and obligations.

I have both a Sprint i Phone 4s and a Sprint i Phone 5, both off-contract with Sprint. They have repeatedly REFUSED to unlock either phone. I'm talking 10 separate calls to customer service.

I have been a Sprint customer for over ten years with three lines, and have never missed a payment.

The Sprint store tells me to call Sprint Customer Service. Then they refuse, and just transfer me to Apple to get rid of me. Apple, of course, says its up to Sprint.

I have a friend who has Verizon, and has had no problem getting his phone unlocked.

Can anyone recommend a third-party service to unlock my two Sprint phones? I want to move them both to T-Mobile and never do business with Sprint again.

The Sprint phones are CDMA so won't work anyway.

Sell the phones, buy GSM unlocked versions.

Sprint and Verizon phones will not work on T-mobile or At&t due to some legal (annoying) activation restrictions.

Sell them and buy new ones.

For reference:

The Sprint 4S doesn't support all of the T-mobile 3G/4G bands.

The Sprint i5 doesn't support all of the T-mobile LTE bands.

(Unless you're in Europe, then the compatibility is better)

Also, what state are you in? Sprint unlocked my iPhone 4S SIM slot without any resistance and I was able to use it in Europe.

I'm in NY and T-Mobile INSISTS (in-person in several different stores AND on their customer service line) that they can give me T-Mobile Service on both my SPRINT iPhone 4s AND my SPRINT iPhone5, if I can just get them unlocked.

They say that the 4S has built-in CDMA and GSM, I just need to switch the SIM. Also they say they can switch the CDMA iPhone5 to their service as well.

But that is not what everyone has said on this post.Maybe they can do it, but I would be stuck with slower (2G) service.

I want to take both phones to TMobile because I already have an unlocked GSM iphone 5 with them, and adding lines with them is a lot cheaper than sticking with SPRINT for the others.

T-mobile will support international iPhones (Korea, Europe, etc.)

The unlocked Sprint phones will work on any supported carrier that isn't in America,

However, your unlocked GSM i5 should work fine.

I challenge you, put a t-mobile SIM in the unlocked Sprint iPhone 4S, watch the activation process. (it won't work)

Sell your Sprint phones and buy new ones!

Just sell the Sprint phones... you're going to take a loss but you'll be over the fiasco.

Yes it's frustrating to provide advice when you know what you're talking about, and not have people just listen.

But we are all being fed a lot of contradicting information from multiple sources. Forums like this help clear away the BS by getting input from people who are not only knowledgable, but also impartial.

Would I be better of asking TMobile or Walmart for a trade-in? Since they have an incentive to add me as a customer maybe they'll give me a good price for my old phones.

Call sprint global team they should help you unlock the phone for international usage only

Sprint is the absolut worst when it comes to releasing what is rightfully yours. Man these guys are loosing customers left and right! You dont have to have a marketing degree to understand what this is doing to their customer base. T-mobile is probably laughing all the way to bank
