Why is itunes claiming that my account has never been used to purchase from the itunes store, even though I have purchased various songs in the past.

i have a new computer so now because i cant redownload my old songs on it i cant sinc my ipod anymore; because well... i dont want to lose all my songs. It also prevents me from buying new ones, so...... to put it in simple words im screwed. :/ what can i do????

- Backup your iTunes library from the old computer and restore it to the new computer

iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

- Connect the iPod to yur computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTuns and select Backup Up

- Restore from that backup. The new computer will not b your syncing computer.

Note that the Backup that iTunes makes does not include synced items like apps and music.


I do not understand thi statment: " It also prevents me from buying new ones" What hppens whenyou try to purchase new music?
