Yep, as long as you purchase the unlocked GSM model directly from Apple. However, you prepared to fly back to the US should you ever need any warranty or service support? Might want to think about that, as your warranty will only be valid in the US, & no, you can't mail the phone back...Apple doesn't accept International shipments. So, while the phone will work, you won't have any warranty or support in New Zealand.
