Pairing after "forget this device" Jabra Bluetooth and iPod Touch

My iPod Touch doesn't want to recognize my Jabra Bluetooth that I have been using for several months. I accidentally hit "forget this device". I followed some advice from another discussion thread without success.

I have tried:

1. Turning on the iPod and the bluetooth (BT) device with the blue light showing but the iPod doesn't recognize the BL.

2. Going into the iPod Settings/General/Reset and "reset network settings" AND the "reset all settings".

3. Cannot find any help on the Jabra, Google or Apple website. Most have the simple solution of #1 above.

Nothing has been successful. Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi Friends ! My father sent me a Cordix cmh300m bluetooth headset. If you want to look it then visit Cordix.co.kr I accidentally clicker forget this device the next day. I was very sad. I searched for help in the Internet but none of them worked. Finally I discovered my own solution. And the solution is:

1. Turn off the bluetooth device.

2. Then press the power button and volume up button at once.

3. Then it will start to blink in blue color.

4. Then turn bluetooth on your iPod touch.

5. Then see there , the name of your bluetooth device will appear ,click on it then it is connected.

Enjoy friends

I can tell you how to reset your Jabra Bluetooth device, I just need to know which model you have!

By the way, the Jabra device should be in pairing mode to connect with your iPod Touch. You may not have to reset it at all - just find out how to get it into pairing mode. Usually this is done by turning the unit on, then pressing and holding the answer/end button until the Bluetooth status light is flashing constantly (not blinking). Once in this mode, your iPod Touch should be able to "find" and add the Jabra as a new device from the Bluetooth menu.

Thanks,

Tom

Tom,

Thanks for responding so quickly. I have a Jabra BT530 and an iPod Touch.

I do believe I have the Jabra in the Discoverable Mode. When I turn the device on, I hold down the long middle bottom until it turns a constant blue. No luck. Those discovery wheels keep turning. As I said in my original posting I have reset the network and ALL settings on the iPod touch. I have also tried holding down the off button and the wake up bottom (name?) at the bottom on the screen to no avail. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for your time.

I'm using Jabra extreme2 on iphone and I had the same problem for these two days, but I solved it as follows.

In my case, I just pressed all the buttons on the device at once for a while to reset the device. Then my jabra started to send signals to my iphone again, and it worked. This initialization procedure is written on the instruction manual of the Jabra device.

So, if you still have your instruction manual of Jabra BT530, you should find how to initialize / reset as Tom said above.

I think it can be solved by initializing Jabra device side, and I think this is not the ipod side problem.
