iPhone 4s

Hi I have just bought an apple tv 3 rd gen and I have an iPhone 4s. I can connect to my apple tv either through AirPlay or the remote app, but if I have t used it for a few mins it will disconnect me from the apple tv and won't let me connect again unless I reset my apple tv, can anyone help?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1
