I see on the App Store app I have 2 updates to install. When I try to install these updates I get the message "You need to purchase these apps before you can update them. The 2 apps are I Photo and Garageband, installed on the Mac when I purchased it.

The updates will be under the purchased Apps for the Apple ID that you used to set up your computer

I have the same issue. My question is, will I be charged if I choose to update it? Each app is 15 bucks. If I will be charged, then I want to delete the update notifications but I don't know how...could you tell me how this is done? (I'm a new Mac user)

Go to App Store

Click on Purchases.

Accept the apps.

Now you can update.
