Syncing trouble

My iPhone in iTunes is stuck on "Loading Device", and isn't showing my apps in the window,

message says "apps installed on iPhone cannot be determined" and "the required disc cannot be found".

What's can I do to fix this?

iPhone 3GS, Mac OS X (10.7.3)
