May 2, 2012 3:39 PM in response to CheriAlliby léonie,A missing trash icon may happen for several reasons; either you Aperture library has a problem, your preferences file is corrupted, or the System trash has a problem, to name a few.
Is your Aperture version really Aperture 2? Then start with the Trouble Shooting basics as described here:
- Aperture 2: Troubleshooting Basics: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2945
but if you are on Aperture 3, here:
- Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3805
Before you do any of the options above, quit Aperture and make sure you have a backup of your Aperture Library.
- Aperture 2:
- I'd start with a consistency check on the library, and if this check shows problems, rebuilding the library.
- If this should not solve the problem, remove the Aperture preferences as described in Aperture 2: Troubleshooting Basics
- Aperture 3:
- Use the Aperture 3 Library First Aid as described in
Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3805
- Begin with repairimg the permissions, and if that does not help, with repairing the database.
- If you still have a problem remove the Aperture Preferences file.
- Use the Aperture 3 Library First Aid as described in
Post back, if there still is a problem
