It appears you're not allowed to...

I made a discussion here to ask a question about iPad, and I can't find it on the forum list here now and when I use the link to go to it directly it says: "It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake."

Please can someone tell me why this happens? 😮 it's not happened before.

Ok thanks that's strange 😟

Is there a way to find out what exactly was against the rules because all I was doing is asking about getting a 3G iPad to replace my dongle, and I asked why I can get 15GB for £15 on my dongle but on the iPad it seems more expensive (1GB=£10).

I honestly cant think of any reason this is against the rules 😟

Thanks - I checked and I have an email saying it was deleted for being off-topic. I don't see how asking about data plans is off-topic! I see lots of people doing the same thing in this section of the forums. I guess I'll just assume it was a mistake by an automated system or something and risk making the thread again. If it gets removed for a second time then I'll contact Apple ^_^ thanks for all the help 🙂

Possibly because Apple has nothing to do with data plans. Apple doesn't sell data plans, they don't service them, they don't control them, they don't set the prices. You purchase your data plan from the carrier you choose. Inquiries should be directed to your carrier. Just my guess. We don't need to get into the why's and wherefore's of data plans, which can be a topic of intense debate and argument.

And yet, the powers that be will allow a 50+ page discussion with 300,000 and more views and over 4000 posts about when the new iPad 2 was shipping .... How is that user to user technical support? It isn't .... And it wasn't .... but that's discussion went on for weeks when the iPad 2 was released and actually the discussion bordered on the absurd, but it was allowed to continue. It offered absoluley NO technical advice or solutions whatsoever.

And I will not even mention the countless Flash discussions that go on for days and weeks and months that end up in name calling and ranting and go way off topic, yet they are allowed to continue.

Just my two cents ....

It appears you're not allowed to...
