Lion software update from Snow Leopard server

I have 10.7.1 (macbooks) and 10.7.3 (imac) lion clients working with Snow Leopard server 10.6.8. The iMac client make updates successfully but macbooks clients does not.

1. Previously I checked the SUS configuration (/etc/swupd.conf and /etc/swupd.plist) and index-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog instruction is in both.

2. My LAN firewall allow connection to 8088 port (software update server)

3. All clients are binded to the server

Someone has any idea?, please let me know

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.1)

Try running this command from your terminal on the computers that CAN'T reach the server.

Then run the software update program.

Change the name example.server.com to your server's name.

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate CatalogURL http://example.server.com:8088/index-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog

I bet that this will fix the problem.

If you have tons of computers to run this command on, I suggest that you use a program like Apple Remote Desktop to deploy the command.
