I can' Manually add music to my iphone 4 s

I have to Computers one at the office running windows xp and one at home running Leopard, if i check the manually add music on my computer at home i cannot add music at the office because the the check box is unchecked and if i do it the other way same happneds, i have an ipod and i can manually add music on both computers. i dont know what could be the problem. i have been searching on web for this, but i couldnt find somebody with the same problem.

iPhone 4S, Mac OS X (10.6), Itunes manually

This is correct. There is nothing wrong.

Iphone will sync or manually amnage with one and only one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the iphones current content.

You cannot put content from two computers on the iphone.

if thats the case how can i manually manage music on both of my computers with my ipod. remember im not doing a sync. i think thats not true, so would it be the point on manually manage music???.

i believe you can manually music from difrents computers as long as you mark the check

Because this is a feature of the ipod.

It is not a feature of the iphone.

They are not the same thing.

This article says just what I told you.

From the article you linked:

"iPod shuffle and iPhone are intended for use with a single computer. You cannot load music from multiple computers or iTunes libraries onto iPod shuffle and iPhone like you can with other devices."
