I have an extensive music collection on my iMac complete with album art and cleaned using Tune-up Media software. I have kept my iPod updated with my music. I also have a MacBook Pro and have been trying to keep my music library the same as on iMac by manually copying music over from computer to computer manually and it is proving to be too much of a task.
Is it possible to transfer my complete library to the laptop using my iPod??? If so, I would like to trash the existing music on laptop both from iTunes and from the music folder on Hard Drive and simply replace library from iPod.
It seems to me that when I plug in the iPod it only wants to sync with that computer and copy TO the iPod and not FROM it.
I would appreciate help
iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Also have MacBook Pro / OSX 10.6.8
Not sure if this applies to your iPod generation. If its iTouch, then No. Also if you have the latest version of iTunes, I'm not sure if it works. Check out this support article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329. Not an easy one for sure.
