Last few days cannot load, play or even see online videos, such as YouTube, Facebook, and any other website that offers streaming video.
Either the space where they would be is empty or a black box with no response. I have a MacBook Pro and for 3 years never had this problem. Please help I got highlights to watch!... .

Is this just happening in Safari or have you tried other browsers ?

Only Safari so far and I have all the most recent software updates and everything.
What would you recommend and how would you go about doing it?

I would, first of all, try another browser. If you don't already have it, try Firefox, if it works ok in Firefox I would try resetting Safari.(uncheck "remove saved names and passwords" if you don't have them written down anywhere)
