I received an e-mail from Apple stating to change my account information. Is this valid or from a hacker?

I received an e-mail from Apple <appleid@id.apple.com> stating to change my account information. Is this valid or from a hacker? I have changed my password, a change on my account information,

I can go into iTunes, Find My Phone; but I cannot go into iClouds or FaceTime. What is going on? Please contact me since your business hours are closed and I am really concerned that this initial e-mail was not valid.

Right now my iPad is frozen with the FaceTime Password with the regular Apple Account User Name.

Please respond ASAP (as soon as possible).

Thank you,

Joseph Snook

I don't know whether this is a valid apple message or not, but as a general rule never respond to or follow links in emails that ask about account or password information. Go to the apple site, log into your account through their webpage, and see if there are any notifications for you there. You might also change your password while you're there, just on principle.

also, please do not post personal information like names and phone numbers to this site. This is an open internet site frequented by random volunteers, not a secure site that only apple employees look at. I've asked moderators to remove your personal information, but if you can still edit the post you'd best remove them yourself.
