May 3, 2012 10:17 AM in response to chandrahaasby cliftonfromrichmond,Sounds like a security issue. Make sure your wireless router is not using WPA2 Enterprise encryption. Also, make sure the Network Name or SSID does not have an "special" characters, and also make sure the SSID is not too long. Verizon FiOS is famous for both problems.....

May 3, 2012 11:49 AM in response to chandrahaasby lllaass,That sounds like you are not using the requires number of charactors for the password. The router tells the iPod how many charactors are required.
Could you be using WEP security? Most routers allow use of a paraphrase to generate the hexidecimal encryption keys. The wifi software on some devices all just entering the paraphrase as the password. For the iPod ou have to enter the first (#1) key as the password. If you go to the router setup/mainteneave page you can see the kys that were generated.
