Can someone please help.I have an ipod touch and it is completely disabled as it has a passcode on it and my daughter forgot it and kept trying and now it has a red screen saying ipod disabled, connect to itunes. Ive dont this but it doesnt recgnise it as i havent synced it to the new mac yet, it was synced to an old computer which i no longer have. Can you please help

You need to place the iPod in Recovery mode and then connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes. If you do not have a backup you will have to restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Thanks, I just followed that link and its in recovery mode with the plug into itunes screen. It's updating now and i should be able to reset everything. If i have any more trouble I;ll let you know but thanks so much.
do you know anything about the ipod classics? Do they only play with earphones in and how do you get them to play in the car stereo?

Now all i have to do is learn the above and how to burn a copy of a DVD on my mac and ill be getting somehwer. Do you know how to do this???

The classic does not have a speaker so you need to plug something in the headphone or use a dock to get sound out.
and how do you get them to play in the car stereo?
If the car has an AUX input you can purchase a cable that got from the iPod's headhone jack to the AUX input. You can also purchase an FM transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack and it will brodcast to the ar's FM radio. Google for FM transmitter for iPod.

If it is commercial DVD those are copy protected and it is illegal to copy those. If it is legal to copy then just use a DVD authoring program to copy and burn it.
Thanks, nah not wanting to copy illegally just ones i have of my children and make a back up copy or that for family. Do i buy a program or can i use imovie. Just unsure how to do it.
The car steroe has the ipod connectivity, it connected the ipod touch no prblems, the iphones no problem but it recognises the ipod classic but had no sound. Unsure how to fix it, it says its compatable!!!
I have no suggestion on the Classic. Try posting in the iPod Classic forum.
iMove may work but you may need iDVD.

From the Mac App store. First I would see if the free HandBrake program will do it.
