How can videos be added to a supervised iPod Touch?

In our school district we are exploring Apple Configurator for getting our iPod carts and cases ready for the classroom. I cannot find a way to add teacher content (lessons created in photo story and converted to mp4) when the iPod Touch is in a supervised mode. It appears that we have to make a choice between unsupervised mode to allow teacher content or supervised mode to allow purchasing paid apps. Is there a way to add mp4's to supervised iPod Touches?
