What specific customizations / settings are being lost?
as a simple example changing desktop background, or setting accounts in ichat, it always delete my added accounts and i have to add them again and every day.
or for example there is a question mark instead of Photoshop icon in the dock so that each time i am forced to drag the icon from the application to the dock
Sounds like your Preferences (folder?) permissions are not set correctly.
Navigate to your Preferences folder and do a finder Get Info on that folder. Post the resulting info window.
the user is admin and it normally should have all permissions. However, I appreciate if you tell me the checking path of the permissions.
You are running Snow Leopard. You shouldn't have any problems navigating to your Preferences folder inside you Library folder. Select it in the finder (click on it) and then use File menu-->Get Info (or just use command-I).
No, the OS is Lion, and Thanks for pointing the path again, I checked it now and it was set on the read/write. But for temporary I made a new user and anyway that problem has been resolved.
Ok.
You should change your profile since it says 10.6.7.
the version is 10.7, but how can i change the profile?( wouldn't you mean "user account" by profile?)
thanks, i did
but this page is
