my phone only vibrates when i get calls and messages..I want it to ring and hear the alerts..PLEASE HELP asap

No worries. I'm pretty sure you can flip the switch with that cover on. It's on the left just above the + volume button. See p. 11 of the User Guide.
Flip the ring/silent switch on the left side of the phone.
ive put an otter box defender cover on..can i still flip the switch?i dont understand where it is exactly 😟 sorry this is my first iphone..im just 14yrs old.so lack knowledge abt iOs devices

Turn your ringer up with the volume buttons. Also check Settings > Sounds.
what do i need to change in the sound settings option?
