How Do I delete an App I downloaded for Free from the App store? iPhone is not Jailbroken,not modded,Not unlocked. Applications are shaking WITHOUT the X in the corner. iPhone restrictions are off. iPhone has been turned off/on. How Do I delete Apps?

Try restarting your phone by holding down the sleep/wake button and home button ignoring the slide to power off message. Then power it back on and see if that fixes the problem.

Yesterday, I have downloaded the APPSGONEFREE and there is one App called the Victorian Mystery that is still free and i downloaded it. After a few minutes it pop up on my iphone homescreen, it can't be loaded. So I tried to delete it but it cant be deleted. (there is no x mark on top of it). I then use my itunes to synchronize it through my iphone but it wasnt able to delete it. I then bought the apps at apsstore ( Victorian Mystery), which is not free for today and I synchronize and it cant be installed on my Iphone. I just cant delete the APP. I need help. 😟

I am having trouble deleting apps also. I press and hold the app. It shakes and I don't have an X to delete it. I have done all my updates. I have even rest my entire phone back and it still won't let me. I have honestly done everything I can think of. Does anyone know what else I can do?

I have an app which will not delete, it has an x in the corner and wobbles but is greyed out and just will not delete.

if your restriction are off

try to recycle them

enable the restrictions

goto general>restrictions enable and disable deleting apps

then disable restrictions and try to delete the apps

I have a 'similar' problem. I was advised to delete an app and re-install it because it's crashing. My apps DO shake with the x in the corner, however, when I press on the x I am unable to delete it. It does nothing. My restrictions are off.

Instead, what happens is that my screen freezes after moment, and I get giggling apps plus flashing apps. In order to get back to normal I have to reset my iPad!

I have a "scrabble app" that is crashing constantly, so I was advised to delete & re-install it. I DO get the jiggling icons plus non-grayed-out Xs, but when I press on the X nothing happens to enable me to delete it. Instead my screen freezes with jiggling icons & flashing! What do do?

When I go to the 'restrictions on my iPad, I have all the apps to the on position. I tried to turn some off, but it seems I can't change anything in this category???

Trudijane, try deleting the app by going to Settings > General > Storage > Manage Storage. You'll be presented with a list of apps. Find the Scrabble app and select it. Press Delete App. Were you able to delete it?

It's funny, but I was just there, and saw that I could delete this App from 'manage storage' but I haven't tried yet. I want to be sure that I can re-install is from the Apple Store after I do! The same app is also on my phone.

No I don't know for sure. If the app is corrupted that might be the problem. You can always download the app again.

Okay, I deleted the app (Scrabble) via Manage Storage Category. Then I re-installed a new app from the iTunes store. For a few minutes I thought it was fine. But then it crashed as it did before.

So - what is the best way to get support from the creators of the App?

Before you contact the developer delete the app again but this time leave it off for quite awhile and see if the problem persists. If the phone continues to operate properly then that's a fairly good sign it was that particular app causing the problem. If the problem comes back even though the app is gone then you have other problems.

The problem app is on my iPad. Are you telling me to delete it again, only wait awhile before I re-install it back on my iPad? Not clear on that.

Or are you asking me to check my phone app while it's uninstalled or re-installed. I already know that the app on my phone was not crashing when the one on my iPad was.
