We are looking for a mac to use very seldom in our downstairs office. Used for basic stuff and maybe by my 8 yo daughter as she gets older for school. Would appreciate any thoughts on this offerring. Thanks
That's a good price for a starter MacBook. It's probably a Core Duo model 1,1 http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook_2.0_black.html so it would be limited to a maximum OS of 10.6 Snow Leopard. The Core Duos can't run 10.7 Lion.
You can get a third party battery for around $27 on eBay
