    (1) Use   > About this Mac menu command to find your information.

     

    (2) Software runs your camera.  Use the app that offers the video recording features you want.

     

    Some examples that came with your Mac:

     

    • Photo Booth

     

    • iMovie

     

    • iChat (can record video chats)

     

    • QuickTime Player (version 10.x) comes with Lion (Mac OS X 10.7.x)  Earlier QT Player requires QT Pro.

     

    Launch an app and search Help if you need assistance on how to make a video with that app. They all work differently.

     

    If these apps are not in your Dock, look for them in your Finder > Go > Applications folder.

     

    You can search your  > App Store... for other video recording apps if you want different features.
