i have 10.5.8 os x for macbook what is the next version to upgrade or update to?

i would like to update or upgrade for the app store feature. I currently have mac os x 10.5.8 for macbook. what do i do?

Mac OS X 10.6 on DVD. If you're a paid member of MobileMe, Apple will send it to you for free. If not, buy it from the online Apple Store.

Note the App Store is only available on 10.6.6 or later. So you'll need to download the 10.6.6 or later combo after installing 10.6. 10.6.8 is strongly recommended because of the Flashback Malware. For more on 10.6 read this tip:
