Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for creating an audiobook using iBook Author?

I have used audio sound effects in my books. However, I would like to have the entire book read. I thought one way would be to record the book being read page by page. Then on each page insert the the audio in the widget. The reader would then tap the audio bar to hear the text being read aloud on each page. Is this the best way to do it or is there a better way? Is there a way the audio can just start to play when the page loads using iBook Author?Thank you for taking the time to read my question!
