Can my iPod touch get a virus?
I was wondering if my ipod touch can get a virus from safari or sumtin.
For some reason the battery has been running out far too quickly and the date and time sometimes resets.

Ya my 4th gen iPod does do that to me to, when I'm ether loading a game or playing a game, the screen goes black for a quick 3-5 seconds, and it returns me to he home screen. I think I got a virus from a app called knights and dragons, cause it first started with that game, and now I spread to the rest of my games. Do I have a virus?
Try a reset and restore
apple ios runs on unix platform.there's no way u can get viruses in any of the apple devices.
the lag in ur device is due to the os.try a reset or restore of your device.the battery may get consumed if ur playing a lot of retina display games or ,if wifi or bluetooth is switched on.
Untrue, iOS has the lowest virus level out of all MobileOS level.
I got a brand new iPod touch 4th gen and most of the time it exits from safari
Automaticaly idk if it's a virus or what
There is a logical explanation for everyone of your problems... To the original problem no an ipod cannot get a virus. If your safari keeps shutting down the the coder for the site you were on is just reeeeeaaalllyy bad. For games shutting down its faulty coding once again or you have too many things open on the multi tasker. To the person with the battery running low again too many things on the multi tasker or your just playing a graphics heavy game a lot. Final thoughts: the apple ios,psx were made exceptionally well so I don't believe there aren't a virus in existence that would harm an apple product
Stripekit, did you notice that the original post is almost 2 years old and the last reply was a year old?
What if my screen turns green and restarts on its own? Im having problems even after I restore factory settings
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
That extremely late reply but iPod 4th gen exiting Safari by itself is normal, its because your iPod is out of memory.
