Have you actually installed Java on your system? It's not included by default in OS X 10.7. You can download an installer here if you don't have it:

Well, their system requirements say that the game requires Windows and says nothing about using Java at all, so apparently that error message is indeed correct and the game won't run on a Mac. You can try asking if there's any workaround in the forums for the game:
