Question

I need help finding an iPhone app that tracks spending.

Does anyone know of a good app that SIMPLY tracks spending? All I want to do is put in the amount I spent on something, and have it show me a graph/chart that shows were my money is going. I DO NOT want to put in a "monthly budget", or enter an account balance. I just want to put in something like "$xx on gas.." and at the end of the month look at it and see that i have spent $xxx total on gas. Simple, right? I cant seem to find an app that does JUST this.

PS. a free app would be prefered

Mint.com has a web interface, iPad and iPhone app. Works great. 🙂

Ekyle: I tried mint. It seems to want me to connect my bank account. And do all the budgeting crap.

Google is your friend... the first two hits are YouTube videos showing you how to use it.

You link your bank account (it's read-only) so that it can get the transactions and categorize your spending. You don't have to set up budgets if you don't want to. Another is PageOnce Bills & Money I think is what it is called in the app store. That one has less features but helps track your accounts.

Most programs will ask to connect to your account so you don't need to add purchases manuall (you still can thouygh with Mint for cash purchases) in order to make things easier for you. 🙂
