May 4, 2012 4:19 PM in response to astepanovby EZ Jim,Scripts like this can easily disable and enable built-in iSight:
http://techslaves.org/index.php?page=62
However, such scripts simultaneously disables ALL USB webcams when active.
Instead of disabling USB cams, select your other camera in the Flash Player settings. If you need help with settings, see Adobe Help: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help04.html
If necessary, you can quit your browser, launch Photo Booth or some other video app to keep your iSight busy. Minimize this app if you like, launch the browser and go to your video web site, and then check that Flash can use the camera you want.

Jun 18, 2013 6:49 AM in response to EZ Jimby peppermint, didnt work here:
mbp i7 2010 with 10.8.4
i followed these things:
"
Although I do not recommend it, you can manually disable your built-in iSight by removing the "QuickTimeUSBVDCDIgitizer.component" file from your computer's HardDriveName > System > Library > QuickTime folder and restarting your Mac. Your built-in iSight should no longer work with any app"
but i cannot find a component named "QuickTimeUSBVDCDIgitizer.component" in my HD>SYSTEM>LIBRARY>QUICKTIME
any idea? isight is working fine...
