Ok so wanted a new ring tone, went into the way apple tellls you to through the setttings sounds then into ringtone and buy more tones so searched and found my desired tone but it wont be a tone now its only playing in my music app help

Tones
Ringtones and alert tones cannot be purchased from your computer, but can be purchased using your iOS device with iOS 5 or later. Tones can be purchased on iPad, iPhone (3GS or later), and iPod touch (4th generation or later).
To locate tones in iTunes on an iOS device:
- Tap the iTunes app.
- Tap Tones. If Tones is not visible, tap More > Tones.
- Browse for tones. Once you purchase a tone a dialog is displayed. The dialog gives you an option to set your new tone as your default tone or assign it to a Contact. If you don't want to do anything with the tone just yet, simply tap Done.
- Tones purchased using your iOS device are synced to your iTunes library when you connect your device to your computer. On an iPod touch or iPhone, tones can be found in Settings > Sounds. On an iPad, Tones can be found in Settings > General > Sounds.
That usually means it isn't really a ringtone, but can be converted to a ringtone. Sync you phone with iTunes, then locate the "ringtone" in your music library (if you purchased it, it may be in your Purchased folder). Locate the "ringtone" and right-click on it, select Get Info, on the Summary tab look for Kind. If it doesn't say Kind:Ringtone then it isn't a ringtone. Once converted, select to sync it to your phone on the Tones tab of your iTunes sync settings and sync your phone. Custom ringtones are found in Settings>Sounds>Ringtone at the top of the list.
