4th generation nano Problem

As stated, I have a 4th gen nano. Like most people, I have a problem with the click wheel. However, after searching the community here and looking through Google, I believe my problem is unique. You see, whereas most people have a problem with either the click wheel not working entirely or the click wheel doesn't scroll but the buttons work, I have a different issue. The click wheel does work for scrolling, but the other buttons (On the wheel itself) don't work. Oddly enough, the center button works. I've searched all over and haven't found any thing for my particular problem so any help anyone can offer would be appreciated.

P.S.: I've already tried restoring the iPod to no success.
