I accidentally uninstalled quicktime. How do i get it back?

The other day I completly removed QuickTime from my computer by mistake. I went to the apple website to try and download it but there is no link for a .dmg. Instead there is a message that says "Use Software Update to keep QuickTime up to date on your Mac". Does anyone know how I can get QuickTime back?

Thanks for the quick response! I went to the link you posted, but all the downloads are for QuickTime 7. I am trying to get QuickTime X back. Any other ideas? I wish i had a physical copy of OS X lion, then I could just reinstall QuickTime from the CD.

The only way to get a physical copy is either to download it and burn it onto a DVD as per instuctions elsewhere on this site or else buy a USB stick for 60 bucks from the Apple Store, so personally I would just make sure I had a backup to migrate from and reinstall using the Reinstall Partition in Lion.

If you have a package unpacker such as Pacifist, and you kept your Lion install download package, you can open this in Pacifist and explore your way to the quicktime installer package. I did this recently as QTX was giving me stuttering problems in playing back mpegs. Reinstalling didn't solve that problem, but at least I now know how to get it back!

As long as you use a recent version of Pacifist it works fine.
