Airport Express 802.11n vs 802.11b

Just purchased Apple Express 1084 (802.11b) on ebay. It seems to be working fine, green light comes on when connected to the Ethernet. But I wonder if I am struggling to get it connected due to the fact that I have Windows 7, and it requires 802.11n instead. Any thoughts?

The 1084 version of the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) supports both 802.11b & g on the 2.4 GHz radio band. The fact that you are running Windows 7 DOES NOT require it to connect to 802.11n wireless networks only.

Does your PC actually connect to the local wireless network? That is, can it "see" other network client but just cannot access the Internet?
