Q: I need to remove credit card details from my sons ipod. How do I do this?

To remove your payment information:

1) Open iTunes and sign in to the iTunes Store.

2) Select "View My Account" from the Store menu.

3) Enter your password and click the View Account button.

4) Click the Edit Payment Information button.

5) Select "None" as the payment type.

6) Click the Done button at the bottom of the page.

But I was more interested in doing it without using the itunes s/w because I don't use it anymore.. Any other ideas.. Thanks in advance.

There isn't a none option for me either. I haven't been able to get free **** for months.

I need to know how to do this from my itouch NOT a computer. Any insight?

theres no none option i guess on the new itunes or something because this is stupid

Just create a new Apple ID for him, change your password, and sign in using that on the iPod.

Users who download a free app on their idevice and then create an apple ID get the "none" option otherwise you will have to furnish the mode of payment.

See there's  no work "none"

Got to Ipod settings-click apple id--view apple id--payment information--click none.
