My Ipod Touch 8G crashed yesterday, and froze, so I tried fixing it at that moment but it wouldnt reposnd, so I decided to wait the next day maybe it'll be fine, but its not. Its still on a black/greyish screen, I tried resetting it by hold the on/off but

Its still on a black/greyish screen, I tried resetting it by hold the on/off button but no, I tried holding the home and on/off button no response either. Also my home button rarely wokrs /: I had to use assistive touch. Is there a chance my ipod will discharge if I keep the plug out and then I plug it in and it'll be back to normal?
