I don't believe it was unlocked by an unauthorized method and I didn't update or restore the phone. I was actually on the phone last night when it started giving me problems and then started saying no sim. Now my phone and voicemail don't work.
Was your phone unlocked by an unauthorized method? Did you recently update or restore the phone?
switch on and off on airplane mode if its not win pls switch off and on your cell ,,if you having the same problem try to keep other sim or keep both home and sleep button at a time toll apple logo present ...
I did what you suggested and it states, "No SIM card installed"
Try these steps as needed:
1. Reset phone - press both home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
2. Setting > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
3. Replace SIM card
Will this erase all my contacts and music?
No, but might erase your brain. You might think it's 1982, in the nightmare of Disco.
no , nothing will happen
I've done steps 1 & 2. Step three states to replace SIM card? How do I do that? I didn't think an iPhone even has a SIM card.
I occasionally go to 1982 without resetting my network settings :)
Unless you have a CDMA iPhone 4, all iPhones have SIM cards.
I can't get it open. I'm going to take my phone to the Apple Store, unfortunately.
hi i seem to b having same problem as hraxon & im find your help usefull does it normally take time to rebot
I'm having the same issue. However I fixes this problem
By taking the sim card out while my iphone was off, waited about 10 seconds then put it back In. It still does this on and off.
My daughter's iphone 4 just did this...I found various posts, like the ones listed above. What ultimately resolved it was resetting the Network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings)-- but you will need to reenter WiFi passwords-- and then hold down the home button and power button simultaneously until it restarts. This solved it.
