internet speed

Since OS Lion upgrade, I am having internet connectivity issue. My husbands windows pc or even ipad internet works fine but not on my macbook pro. Some times it takes a lot of time for it to get working again. Till then the browsers keeps crashing. I use Chrome. I thought it was a chrome issue but then I used Safari and Firefox too but no changes.

Can someone please help?
