My ipod touch 4th generation has started typing letters when my finger gets near the key board and is not clicking in the right spot when i tap an app or letter. PLEASE HELP! IT TOOK ME AN HOUR TO SEND A 10 CHARACTER MESSAGE TO MY FRIEND!ðŸ˜

You may need to do a restart. Here's how you do it. Press the power button and the home button at the same time ignor the slide to power off and continue to hold the buttons until it powers off. It will come back on by itself. Hope this helps.
If this proceeds you may need to make an appointment at the genius bar
My problem seems to have gone away with the update, but I'll tell you if it happens again
having thw same exact issues and this is after the update....i dont even touch it and it types all screwy.....also noted in the diagnostics that something named "bounty hunter" had caused it to crash....please dont tell me apple stuff gets virus???

nevermind. it has actually gotten worse, and i think ill try taking it to the genious bar. i have to go 99.1 miles, so it better fix it
if you can get to the settings on the ipod
go to settings>general>accessibility>assistive touch and c if u have turned it on a set up custom gestures
thanks kevin, assistive touch was off, not sure y this is happening only issue i have ever had with an apple product, its like its possesed i try to hit settings it opens weather, etc.....someone suggested draing the battery completly and then doing the restore, jsut glad im not the only one having this issue
if u have baby wipe's try cleaning the lcd screen and see it that helps there may be sticky finger prints on the screen
I'm going nto try sending my ipod back into apple to either get it fixed or replaced. I have one question though, if apple replaces it, will my warranty restart from when i get the new ipod, or will it keep going on as if it was the same ipod

Apple sent me a new iPod, but i need to know if my dad can email/put the back-up files on a flash drive so that I can set my iPod up on my computer (he had my old one on his computer, but i didn't like having to give it to him everytime I wanted a new app.)
