Deleting owned TV shows from ATV1...

I presently own both ATV1 and ATV2. I purchased a TV series although I'm not sure which ATV I purchased the show from. Anyway, I'm up to episode 6 on my ATV1 and I've been deleted them as I watch them, However, the ATV1 will not load anymore shows on the series. However, on my ATV2, more episodes are showed in the menu, but not all of them. There doesn't seem to be any way to delete shows on the ATV2.

I prefer to watch them with the ATV1. Since I paid for the season, can I simply go back on iTunes and download them without paying on to my ATV1? I checked the HD and it reports 13GB free. I have deleted all of the first 6 episodes on the ATV1 and then gone into "check downloads" which reports there are none available?

If I go into the purchase area on the ATV1 for the show I'm interested in, it doesn't show the season purchase option, only the option to now purchase the remaining shows at $3 a pop. Perhaps I should just go back there and try to purchase the next episode, hoping it say I already paid for the show and then will download it to my ATV1.

I thought that once I purchased a movie/TV show, I could then download it again for free on any device I own as long as I sign in with the same iTunes account. Is that a true statement?

Yes provided the show is still available in itunes Store and is seen as an identical item by the billing system.

This also presupposes you are in a location that allows redownloading of past purchases.

Provided these criteria are met go to the iTunes Store home page (house icon) after clicking on iTunes Store on the left. On the right of the screen go to Purchased and look for the TV Shows.

May not apply but a word of warning if you've bought individual episodes to date not the whole series and are planning on using 'Complete my Season/Series' - the cost of past purchases is deducted from the 'series price' but if the resmaining cost is less than a single episode you cannot use Complete My Season so avoid buying a single episode when it takes the residual cost below the cost of an indiviudal one or you'll not get a Complete My Season price. I've been caught out twice buying individual episodes on AppleTV of Seasons with 2 or 4 episodes planning to Complete My Season in iTunes.
