Missing or old Bill of Materials??

Hi,

When i try to install Virtual Pc 7 on my emac (1.25ghz G4, 512 RAM, OS 10.3.9), i get the error message ' Missing or old Bill of Materials'.

I have no idea what this message means, can anyone help?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.

That error message is associated with corrupt optical disc files. How many VPC installer disks do you have? Are these the original CDs from the VPC package? Are there any visible scratches or smudges on the discs? Are you having problems reading any other optical discs? And how much free space is there on your hard drive?

They are not the original discs, so i guess they have been corrupted, i can't think of any other reason why they would not work.

Oh well, i may have to actually buy a copy...

Yes, I would say that purchasing a legal copy of Virtual PC (and any other software for which you do not own a legal license) will probably solve your issue, on many fronts.
