n Final Cut Pro X I¨ve imported a GIF, but I can¨t attach it to the timeline...what to do?

    although on FCPX' list of supported formats, .gif can come in very odd 'flavors'.

     

    I would suggest to open it in the Preview.app and convert it into jpg or png (if transparency is needed).

     

    or do you try to import an animated gif into FCPX?

    that is not optional.

    have to be converted into some 'real' video format

    Guten Tag. Karsten!

    Having used Final Cut Pro X only a couple of days I became a bit ¨panicky¨when ir did't work for me, but I solved my problem my self;

    -Selected the image in my projectbox

    - Selected  ¨Insert ´from the menubar

      and the still picture was in place in timeline
