Myst IV and V on iMac intel?

Myst IV and V on iMac intel?

I have the Myst IV and the Myst V games but neither one will play on my new iMac intel. The Myst IV will install but not start up, the Myst V will not install. Are they not comp[atible with the new Mac? Can't seem to find anyone with the answers! On the Myst V I get the error message "getPartitionNames requires native support" and will not install. HELP!!

The info was great but I do not know how to access the Terminal Utility! I understand the code, but not sure how to access the points to change it!

Terminal is an application in your Applications -> Utilities folder.

I can get into the terminal utility but when I put in the code listed to help I do not get the code that has public string info on it. What EXACTLY do I need to do??

I installed both the games of Myst IV and V on my old Powerbook (which was not fast enough to play the games) but just transfered the files by firewire and they are both up and running fine! The problem seems to be in the installation so if they are already installed then no problem with the tranfer. Happily Myst-ing away now.

Hi, my turn now to ask for help. I am really confused with the instructions to follow in order to install Myst V on Mac Intel. At one point I get "Access denied" and cannot do anything else. I have typed everything carefully and also tried a copy-paste, but to no avail.
What am I supposed to do to install this game? Can I install it on a Power Mac and then migrate the files. Would it work that way?
