My Mini is acting strangely, hanging, slow to respond, when i hit restart, it will not shut down completely until I press the power button.My wireless mouse is stumbling also.
Could i have picked up a virus? How can I tell? Is there a diagnostic?

Ok, but what will starting in safe mode tell me?
Also my cursor started acting spastic when I try to move it now. It will , at the slightest movement take off and jump to like the top of the screen.
Safe mode is a special booting option that perform several maintenance tasks.
You don't have to use your computer in Safe mode. Once done, restart your Mac and use it as usual.
